Migration and Data Conversion

Since 1985 ASM has been converting data from numerous sources including Excel, Access, and databases that have exported from most credentialing systems. ASM's data conversion team consists of programmers and database managers with knowledge of the credentialing industry. They understand the need for a quick, complete and accurate data conversion. To minimize downtime between systems, the conversion process consists of two stages.

Stage 1: Testing

The initial, testing stage is designed to work with the you to make sure all of your data is converted properly. During this period, you have the opportunity to review the converted data. While reviewing the data if you decide any changes are needed, the conversion program is modified accordingly. Throughout this initial testing phase you continue to use your old system, so that there is no downtime.

Stage 2: Final

Once you are satisfied with the conversion in stage 1, ASM will schedule a time frame to perform the final conversion. Typically, the final conversion takes place over a weekend in order to minimize downtime. This entire data conversion process usually takes place without the need of your hospital's IT resources.
